"Copyright holder"

The copyright holder is the creator of a musical work which is therefore his or her intellectual property. The copyright law and the attached intellectual property are neither transferable nor sellable. Contrary to popular belief, the copyright holder is not allowed to cede it to someone else. He or she is only allowed to transfer the exploitation rights. Creators often transfer the exploitation rights of their music to collecting societies (GEMA, GVL) who control and manage the rights of use and the distribution of the generated license fees.
When purchasing a Royalty-free music composition all rights are obtained directly from the creator instead of a collecting society. The advantage for the buyer is that the license fee is already included in the purchase price and has to be paid only once.
All our productions are 100% Royalty-free and don't belong to any collecting society (such as GEMA, Suisa or AKM).
